Alverde New Products Wishlist

I've read today that Alverde is planning to release some new products into the world, too. You can read all about it on Kosmetik Addicted. I'll only present you with my wishlist from the brand.

I really like Alverde, because it's available at my local DM store and it's supposed to be natural, cruelty free, some products are even vegan. For those reasons, I especially like skincare products, but I do own a few make up products, too.

This is a photo of the new lip products they offer. Nothing really pops out, I think. I miss lipsticks and I already own too many glosses, so I probably won't end up buying anything.

Other is the story with these face products. I will diffinitly try the Mineral Make-up Base gel. It's a kind of primer and it's vegan - double yay :) Currently, I'm using a Catrice primer, but I'll soon run out of it. Another thing I really like is the fixing spray. I don't own such product yet, so it will be a nice edition to my collection. If it works, I'll probably use it with evening make up to make it more permanent.

With eye products, I'm most interested in Duo-Concealer Eye-Brightener & Wake-Up-Effect. I'm still searching for that perfect concealer and something to help with those pesky under eye bags. This looks very promising. I'll probably end up buying the Over Night Coffein Serum, too. But I'm not quite sure this thing actually works.

Last but not least... Handproducts. Probably, there's nothing for me here either. I already have my favourite hand creams.

What do you think about these products? Will you be buying anything?

Would you rather TAG

I've seen this tag on two blogs I follow now (Little Miracles and Among Beauty Drawers) and decided to do it myself. After all, it should be fun to let people know more about yourself and it is even more fun to read the posts others make.

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
A difficult question to start with. When I do make up, I love making my eyes pop more than anything else. That is why I use a whole bunch of mascara and eyeshadow. So I find it quite difficult to decide between the two. I would probably keep the first bunch though. I sometimes only use mascara on my eyes, but I never use eyeshadow only.
2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I have short hair, so the thought of chopping everything off doesn't scare me that much. Actually, it would be nice to see how I look like with a buzz haircut. Plus, I don't really like really long hair. Unless you're very lucky it tangles, you get split ends and the hair usually just doesn't look healthy.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
No idea. Either one.

4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or make-up?
Clothes! I can't imagine ever spending that kind of money on make-up because I usually use cheap brands, so I would probably run out of space to store my collection sooner than spend this sum. With clothes, I would really go all out, buy a pair or two of designer pieces and that would probably be the end of the money.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
Ummm... If I only had these two choices I would probably end up without make up. But, let's say for the sake of it I would rather apply lipstick as eyeliner. I could still work with purple lipstick around my eyes whereas black on the lips is just plain strange.
6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
There are none of those two shops here in Slovenia and I haven't even tried any of the products they offer so far, so it's hard to say. I have, however, heard some praise about MAC products, so I would probably choose this store just to try it out.

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
I can live with one lip color. But only if it's the correct one.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
I sometimes wear summer clothes in winter. Some dresses match nicely with a pair of leggins, a plain black long-sleeved T-shirt and a jacket and you can even wear shorts with such combination. But I would probably die if I had to wear thick woollen jumpers in July. Oh, what torture!
9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I would choose dark. I find them more appealing and feminine.

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Again, lip product. Although I don't really have favourites, I wear a "mascara only" look much more than a "lipstick only" one.

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
When I had long hair, I wore a ponytail a lot, so now I would probably like to change it up and if possible, I'd choose a messy bun.

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I could live without lipgloss. In reality, most of them only dry out my lips, so I prefer lipsticks anyway. However, I could never live without a lipbalm. I can't stand half a day without it. I have a whole bunch of them and if by any chance I forget them all at home, I run to the store to get a new one the first chance that I get.

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I just got scared when I googled what sharpied eyebrows look like. :( Hmm... if I had no eyebrows I would go blonde and say that they are so bright and bleached you almost cannot see them.
14. Would you rather live without make-up or nail polish?
I would probably choose make-up on condition I can still use skin care products. But now that I think about it... I'm not sure anymore.

So, now it's your turn. I tag everyone who has the time to say what she'd choose and yes, please leave me a comment about your choices. I'd love to read them.

New in 4

Right now, I'm looking out of my window. The sun is shining brightly and the white snow glistens in the sunlight - it's so beautiful. My mind just cannot escape the thought that I want the winter to be over. I need spring, no snow and higher temperatures. I want to go outside and soak in the sun. I want to put away those thick winter sweaters and dress differently. I want to put on these new things I bought lately and seize the day!

New fragrance

I adore fragrances and could live in a perfumery permanently. But this great feeling does fade away the second I notice the prices. Some are just insane.

That's why I own only one "expensive" perfume and it's my all time favourite and would never think about changing it. I'm talking about an all time classic Dior Hypnotic Poison. It is supposed to be an Oriental Vanilla fragrance for women. Hypnotic Poison was launched in 1998. Top notes are apricot, plum and coconut; middle notes are tuberose, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, rose, brazilian rosewood and caraway; base notes are sandalwood, almond, vanilla and musk.

A week ago I checked a new addition to the Dior perfume family - Hypnotic Poison Eau Secrete and didn't like it. (Fortunately.) Nothing tramps the old favourite.

Other is the story with cheap "perfumes". Yes, they fade away quickly and yes, their smell is not that mesmerizing and "full", but still, you can own a whole bunch of them and switch them up regularly. This time, I bought this new one.

The official description says that it is described as an oriental scent, seductive, sensual and addicitive. Top notes are fruity-tangy and include juicy black currant. Feminine heart notes of exotic flowers blend with coconut milk. The warm and sensual base is made of heliotrope, gourmand notes and vanilla absolute.

Later, when I researched this perfume online, I even found a comment from a guy who claims it to be "A cheaper (though not bad!) copy of Dior Hypnotic Poison." Looks like my nose was right :) and who would've thought that I dig oriental scents the most :)

NOTD 2

This is how my nails looked like a few days ago. I used a filter on the first photo, but the second one is left just as my camera took it. I used Essence Oh My Glitter! and Essence Crazy In Love Hugs and Kisses LE + Essence Top Coat (Clear As Ice). I think the combination is quite pretty and will probably use it again.

Empties 3

In January, I surprisingly used up quite a few products. I don't keep the empty packages because I think it's just a waste of space, so the pictures are from the internet wherever possible. Here are the reviews.

1) Ombia care duo cosmetic pads - are the best and cheapest cosmetic pads I've tried so far. I especially love these "purple" ones that have one flat side and there are small squares printed on the other. The pads don't tear and they are big enough for whatever purpose you need them. 10/10 Hofer, 0.94€

2) Nivea intimo double effect - I was quite satisfied with this product. I actually bought it because of its double effect (wash lotion and shaving) and because I've never had any trouble with any Nivea products. I would recommend buying this one. 9/10 Your local shop, around 4€
Ingredients: Aqua, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Chloride, Lactic Acid, Persea Gratissima Oil, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyquaternium-7, Citric Acid, PEG-90 M, PEG 200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, Silica, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Salicylate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Linalool, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Parfum.
3) Palmolive hand wash Milk & Honey - I bought this one because it was on sale at my local shop and because Palmolive is another brand of products I normally like. Plus, you can never go wrong with something with honey. Although it's just on the label. The product is OK, although the ingredients are not the best, as I found out later. 7/10 Your local shop, around 3€
Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium C 12 - 13 Pareth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Lauryl Polyglucose, Sodium Benzoate, Parfum, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Salicylate, Citric Acid, Polyquaternim-7, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Laureth-4, Lactose, Mel, Lactis Proteinum, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Benzoate, Hexyl Cinnamal, CI 16255, CI 19140.

4) Terra Naturi deo spray Weißer Tee - I had to look for alternatives when I decided never to use anti perspirants again. There aren't as many alternative products out there as you'd think and there are even less sprays (I dislike roll-ons). This product, however is great. It freshens me up and it smells nice. 10/10 Müller, not sure about the price, sorry
Ingredients: Alcohol, Aqua, Triethyl Citrate, Citrus Aurantifolia Oil, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Parfum, Limonene, Geraniol, Citric Acid, Camellia Sinensis (Leaf Extract), Linalool, Farnesol, Citral.

5) Fa Luxurious Moments Black Amethyst & Pink Viola - another Fa product. And this one, I really don't like. It's only advantage is that's it has an interesting colour - it really us purple and it smells gorgeous. But it does absolutely nothing for my skin. I caught myself wondering if I had already used this product or not while still in the shower. That's how short-term the feeling of softness was. 3/10 Your local shop, 1.60€
Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Parfum, Polyquaternium-7, Cocamide MEA, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Laureth-10, Glycol Distearate, Formic Acid, Citric Acid, Linalool, Limonene, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl, Methylpropional, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Hexyl Cinnamal, Citronellol, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Salicylate, CI 17200, CI 42090.

New in 3

I've already told you about my MUA order yesterday, but that wasn't all I've bought recently. I decided to go shopping with my cousins one beautiful Saturday and of course, I came home with my bags full of goodies. Today, I'll only show you cosmetics products I bought and clothes will follow later when I find the time to make the pictures. (Work is crazy right now!)

1) Alverde Camouflage Anti-rötung - has been on my list for some time now. I have read that green colour conceals all red spots and broken capillaries much better than a regular concealer.

2) La Roche-Posay Rosaliac UV Legere - I always try to make the underlying problems in my life better rather than just hiding it. This is the reason for buying this cream. I hope it will help against the redness on my cheeks.

3) Essence hugs&kisses - How could I miss these? Beautiful.

4) Kiss Nailpolish - Something that will hopefully make my nails stronger and my cuticle more pleasant to look at.

5) OPI Stay the Night - A beautiful nail polish with liquid sand finish. Can't wait to try it out.

6) UBU Stippling Brush - Since I was unable to order the MUA one, I was thrilled when I saw this one in the store. Although a bit more expensive, I had to take it.

7) Nuxe and Bioderma testers: Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche face mask, Reve de Miel hand cream, Bioderma Sensibio H2O, Sensibio AR, Sensibio Forte, Atoderm Nourishing Cream, Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, Bio Beaute hand cream with cold cream and body lotion with cold cream

MUA

MUA is an online store that ships from England. Their motto is that great makeup doesn’t need to cost the earth and it is MUA’s promise to bring surprising quality, colour, fun and innovation to each and every product it delivers. Bringing guilt free makeup to every ladies makeup bag! Their consumers can buy palettes, foundations and primers all for under £4.

A few months ago, they promised on their facebook site that they will offer free shipping and 50 per cent off once they get 50,000 followers. This was a really generous offer, but I don't think the team was prepared for the amount of orders that followed. First, their website had too many visits, so it was virtually impossible to order anything because it took ages to find a product and add it to the shopping cart, even though I had already picked out the products that I wanted to buy. Then, they changed the conditions of the offer. They raised the minimum amound of money spent from £15 to £30. The products are already very cheap and with some products going out of stock it started to become more and more difficult to achieve this amount of money. So I gave up.

I tried again on Tuesday morning. Ljubljana time zone is GMT +1, so when I woke up at 6 a.m., it was only 5 a.m. in England and I guess the people were still sleeping because it worked like a charm. I got almost everything I wanted and more. I'm just sorry the brushes were sold out.

I received my package last Thursday, so it was about 9 nine days later. I still haven't tried out all the products, but so far I love the ones I did.

I got: Undressed Palette, Dusk til Dawn Palette, Heaven and Earth Palette, Glitterball Palette, Lipstick (Shade Nectar), Lipstick (Shade Bare), Lip Boom (Doin Good), Matte Perfect Primer, Cover and Conceal Wand (Natural), Fur Effect Nails (Fluffy Bobbin), Nailpolish: Amaretto Crush, Shockwaves, Wings
